Production Blog: Almost There

You know what I find funny? The fact that this has become a routine for me to struggle every week. I know it is normal to experience bumps in the road when it comes to projects. And yes, I know that the mind sometimes runs out of creativity. However, I have come to realize that this is just the calm before the storm. Please let me to explain I have noticed this. Well throughout this week, I have just been trying to keep my project in order and make sure it is in tiptop shape for the final production. Yes, that included some editing troubles and the deleting of multiple clips. But as this week settled in, I realized that exams will be even harder. I know teachers have prepared us students to take this test with ease, but it just does not seem easy to me. I am well aware I am not supposed to be stressing about exams at this moment as the finality of this project will be posted soon but I cannot help it. Sure, it has knocked off my focus a little bit but it seems equally significant to me.

If we are being realistic here for a second, everything I have posted on this blog will be evaluated along with my exam. So I think it is only appropriate that I am a little panicked. And yes, my teacher has worked hard at whipping us into the students we are, helping us build the knowledge needed for this test. That is another thing I have been slightly panicked about. The workload our students are about to receive within the next month. Teachers, not all but many, tend to cram a lot of work into the last bit of the quarter. It has already been a tough year, so I am concerned that these last couple of months will be torture. Anyway, fingers crossed this all goes well.

Filming Blog        As mentioned in earlier blogs, filming took place inside my home. Filming took place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. I knew that since I was the only one in the commercial, it would be simpler to finish. That also came with its disadvantages though. For certain shots, specifically in the 1 st , 2 nd , and 7 th scenes, I needed someone else to hold the camera since I was the subject of the film. However, somehow, I made it work perfectly by sing objects around my house like shelves or chairs with wheels. The main difficulty I had was quiet on set. My dog continuously would bark or squeak his chew toy. I resulted to closing multiple doors to drown out his noises and keep him in one place for the small duration of time. There were times where the brightness would be too high on the camera so it would not be compatible with the lighting of the room, or the lighting was so low that it made the camera quality worse.    My name is Bremari Henry. I am a 16-year-old in the eleventh grade. Within the previous years, I have learned a couple things about myself. I am a fast learner, and I also work very well when it comes to group work or communicating with others. I signed up for digital media because I always wanted to explore every aspect of art, whether it was music, dance, drawing (digitally or on paper), or design. Even though I was put into AICE Media, it is still a start into exploring a form of art, which is film. Emotions or intentions can be captured by the directorial choices in a film. I think it would do my imagination some good since I have quite a wide range of it.    This comes into play when I participate in the clubs I attend around school. CCR- Music Video Project

  Creative Critical Reflection How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  - My product is a music video to "Six Feet Apart" by Alec Benjamin. My product breaks the conventions of a pop music video. Most pop videos have a lot of color in them, representing happiness and cheer. I think this video disbands that idea. People in society start to feel anxious and panicked when everyone nut the is happy. This can severely damage a person physically and mentally. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?     -My product would be distributed through YouTube or Instagram IGTV. I would aim it for audiences who can relate. Sometimes, it is hard to be alone. Whether it is you feel worthless or paranoid or even overwhelmed by the silence.
