Intro Blog

   My name is Bremari Henry. I am a 16-year-old in the eleventh grade. Within the previous years, I have learned a couple things about myself. I am a fast learner, and I also work very well when it comes to group work or communicating with others. I signed up for digital media because I always wanted to explore every aspect of art, whether it was music, dance, drawing (digitally or on paper), or design. Even though I was put into AICE Media, it is still a start into exploring a form of art, which is film. Emotions or intentions can be captured by the directorial choices in a film. I think it would do my imagination some good since I have quite a wide range of it.

   This comes into play when I participate in the clubs I attend around school. I happen to be Vice President  of AMIE, a club about unity and normalizing touchy subjects that you would not necessarily want to talk about with your parents or guardians in general.  I also attend FCCLA where we learn skills in hospitality. I do plan to proceed with the route of being a safe place for others, like owning a business, for instance, a homeless shelter or bakery, to spread light and happiness to those in need. My siblings and I even some type of strategy for when we are older. Our plan is for every one of us, as well as our significant others, to have a career that is useful and will make our lives at least a little easier. For example, my eldest sister is striving to get a degree in nursing while her boyfriend is getting a degree to become a sport specialist.

   In college, I plan to major in accounting and minor in business so that I can run one with confidence in myself as well as my employees. I have been told by my peers that I am very mature for my age and tend to be motherly towards those I care for. Often times, I find myself putting even strangers before myself, which is why I want to take part in anything that could possibly assist someone in their every day life. This is only an introduction to me, but hopefully, we can learn more as we get through these times together. Thank you for reading.

Filming Blog        As mentioned in earlier blogs, filming took place inside my home. Filming took place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020. I knew that since I was the only one in the commercial, it would be simpler to finish. That also came with its disadvantages though. For certain shots, specifically in the 1 st , 2 nd , and 7 th scenes, I needed someone else to hold the camera since I was the subject of the film. However, somehow, I made it work perfectly by sing objects around my house like shelves or chairs with wheels. The main difficulty I had was quiet on set. My dog continuously would bark or squeak his chew toy. I resulted to closing multiple doors to drown out his noises and keep him in one place for the small duration of time. Another mild difficulty I had was lighting. There were times where the brightness would be too high on the camera so it would not be compatible with the lighting of the room, or the lighting was so low that it made the camera quality worse. CCR- Music Video Project

  Creative Critical Reflection How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues?  - My product is a music video to "Six Feet Apart" by Alec Benjamin. My product breaks the conventions of a pop music video. Most pop videos have a lot of color in them, representing happiness and cheer. I think this video disbands that idea. People in society start to feel anxious and panicked when everyone nut the is happy. This can severely damage a person physically and mentally. 2. How does your product engage with audiences AND how would it be distributed as a real media text?     -My product would be distributed through YouTube or Instagram IGTV. I would aim it for audiences who can relate. Sometimes, it is hard to be alone. Whether it is you feel worthless or paranoid or even overwhelmed by the silence.
