Editing Blog

Editing was something crazy. This was my first music video production, and man was it quite difficult. Editing scenes to make sure they fit the song was probably the hardest part for me. It was hard to determine whether or not I filmed enough in order for me to edit the video for as long as it needed to be. For the storyline, I edited in videos that were supposed to be “old memories” then put an older filter on them. I also applied certain transitions in order for them to look like a flashback. My Pitch

Image
Pitch 1: Transfer student, Nina Travis, is pushed into the eccentric atmosphere of Millennium Arts Academy. She finds herself pressured to fit into the moralities and cliques of her new school. Explanation: I will start off by saying that I do  genuinely love this idea. I think it can really speak volumes for what it is so many students go through today. It is not your ideal but everyone else's so I think it would be really cool to talk about. In the art of film of course. A reason why I am opposed to doing this idea is because even though I am supposed to undoubtedly plan out the movie then just make the first 2 minutes, I think I can get a little carried away with the storyline and making sure there is everything in that little bit of time even when there is not supposed to be. Pitch 2: Hardworking high school senior, Olive...

Storyboard Blog * Each scene will include music in the background. Scene 1: The commercial will open with the subject(me) peacefully asleep, a slow pan in. Scene 2: I am abruptly awoken by the alarm going off on the phone. Scene 3: Shot on phone alarm going off and it being dismissed. Scene 4: I will rush to the bathroom: opening shot being the camera in the mirror then I would open it to reveal myself. Scene 5: I reach beside the camera to grab the KISS product then apply it to eyelashes. Scene 6: Mascara will sit on table while I talk about advantages such as “more volume”, “make your lashes fuller” and “feel glamorous”. Scene 7: There will be a top shot of the laptop. The significance of the laptop is to show the circumstances the world is under right now, being in quarantine. Due to quarantine, school is to be attended online for a safer route to education. Scene 8: The laptop will be opened and display the “Bring the Salon Home: KISS” sign. It will be simil...
