Production Blog: The Break
Production was not the slightest bit on my mind. For this past week, I have just been relaxing. Sure, I would have the constant worry of the upcoming worry I had to do. However, I repeatedly had to remind myself that I needed to take a break. After all, I had deserved it. Even if it did not feel like I should have been resting, it was something that was essential. In the process of creation and productivity, it is important to have a healthy mindset and a healthy balance between work and breaks. Therefore, this week for spring break, I did the bare minimum if not nothing. I flushed school from my system then drowned in the fun activities of watching movies, bingeing tv shows, and meditating. It was indeed time well spent. It also did not help that I felt lazy most days anyway. The hours I spent reading romance short stories in bed completely flew by. In the blink of an eye, the break I desperately needed came to an end all too soon. Now, I am once again put in the position of limited sleep, weird eating schedules, and little to no relaxation.
No, this break was not just filled with me doing nothing in bed. I also was able to welcome my dad home from a month long work trip. It was exciting to hear his stories about the things he had seen and experienced. You see, my days have had a continuous cycle. Wake up, attend class, postpone my hunger then end up eating midday or after the school day, do homework, and finally sleep. To finally have enough freedom to break that unhealthy cycle and have time to adjust was pretty motivational.
