Filming Blog

This was something new. Filming a music video is so much more difficult than releasing an actual film production. So much needs to be put across to viewers. I did not film until this week due to the holidays. Spending time with family can tire a person out. Between spending time with family and planning out this project, it was hard to film. The days I scheduled for filming were weekends, but being that I had other work to do, as well as planning, I was not able to film on the weekend nor during the week. Instead, I gave myself a break and tended to other activities. The few days were spent assisting my step-mom in cooking and shopping for my own food to cook. The night Christmas Eve, my family would hang up the lights around the house then once it hits about 9 or 10 p.m., we would turn off all of the lights and dance around in the living room with only the Christmas lights on. Once morning came around, we made breakfast while listening to Christmas music. After presents, there were movies being watched in the living room. I was very thankful for this celebration because this year was very tough. The holiday spirit did not even feel that way. It was hard to think it would with everything going on. People are losing family and friends continuously, so I am sure it was hard to celebrate for many. Some have even lost their homes so it was really nice to feel the jolliness in the air. Luckily, most remained safe during this time.
