Many of the people that have created these titles have all gone to university. They specialize in workshops then develop a real name for themselves, which is really fascinating to me. The details of title art is so intricately done. Each title is nowhere near the same and that is what is most adoring about this website. The plot being similar for these films is not even considered when it comes to the title art style or color. The title art styles also give the film its own flare. For example, the Back-Up Plan. It is a movie about a woman whose dream is to find her true love along with have kids. The title art adds to that as it looks like a cutesy, playful film. Almost as if it could be a cute Disney opening for kids. However, as the opening sequence goes on, it is clear that it is an adult romance film.

I learned that even in the animation of a production company and its credits, the director can present personality to the film. Immediately, they can set the mood or structure of the film then and there, just with credits. For example, Frank Tashlin's 20th Century Fox logo initially had a peculiar-looking man playing the cello. It gives the film humor before it even starts. It seems that back then there was more of a desire to be funny and entertaining. Everything was more theatrical. Tashlin started by the Looney Tunes cartoons. Even though he transitioned to live action films, he never strayed away from his wild, random movements. They were exaggerating each emotion but it was comedically pleasing back then. It makes me think to now because it might seem cringeworthy now.

  What elements of the genre that you chose to base your final task on does this movie have?       -With Lady Bird also being a coming of age story, it is very easy to compare the films. This movie has the element of personal growth. Through the stress, the character in my final task finds a way to cope with all of her emotions.  What elements of the genre did the movie have that you like?       - I enjoyed the dialogue and the personal growth viewers were able to capture.  What elements of the genre did the movie have that did not appeal to you?       - For me, the elements I was not so fond of was the rebellion aspect of it. I kind of felt it could have been delivered a bit better by the writers, what Lady Bird wanted from the people around her.
