  1. What titles are displayed during the opening sequences? The titles displayed in the opening are credits, like producers' names and the cast list names.
  2. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? The images prioritized are of the human body being tampered with, broken. It shows many examples of being killed by natural disasters, but with an X-ray filter.
  3. What connotations do these images carry? These images carry a trippy, creepy connotation. It can intrigue viewers into seeing what the film has to offer, but also might make some viewers turn away.
  4. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre from the outset? The filter looks cold and that is used a lot in horror. To build suspense and add some sense of creepiness, the editors and director try to make the audience establish that feeling.
  5. What strategies are used to ensure the film appeals to its target audience? Some strategies used would probably be the blood since people like to see gore and the examples of people getting killed give them a nice visual of that as well.
  6. How has technology been used effectively? You want to consider camera angles, transitions and editing techniques. I think so, yes. I have never seen an opening sequence like this nor have I seen one so creepy. The X-ray filter was an excellent touch in my opinion. The editing and camera movements made it look more horror-like rather than like a Grey's Anatomy episode intro.
